Enkel arabisk editor

This editor uses the unicode abilities of the Microsoft Internet Explorer. The Internet Explorer interpretes HTML entities of the form س as signs defined by the unicode consortium. The unicode ability includes automatic writing correction (ligatures, different character forms in function of the position in the word).
For further information about the unicode standard see charts.unicode.org. If you see only ؀-like text then your system doesn't support unicodes. Only supported characters are shown different. This application was tested with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 under Windows 98 ME.

Usage: Just click on the characters in the table. After you have finished writing, click on the button [Text to Code] and copy all to your prefered HTML-Editor (see test file template). There is no keyboard support!

Notes:

This program makes only sense for little pieces of arabic text like above. For complete arabic pages use the <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=utf-8"> tag.

Issues:

Direct unicode output instead of entities (to use with <META> tag)

Direct ASCII output (to use with <META> tag)

To write arabic text on HTML pages you have 5 posibilities:

Entities	+ good for multilingual pages	- files are 8 times bigger - visitor needs unicode support (IE 5+)
Meta (Unicode)	+ file size OK. + works in Netscape, too	- visitor needs unicode support
Meta (ASCII)	+ smallest file size	- visitor needs unicode support
Glyphs (little graphics)	+ the most compatible solution	- biggest files size - you need glyphs of each character in each size and variation
Embedded fonts		- visitor needs embedded fonts support - is different in Netscape and Explorer

This is a test file template that can be used within the produced entities.
